Can anyone tell me where I can get historically accurate clothing patterns for Addy? My 10 year old would like to sew some. Thanks!

Pleasant Co sold patterns for Addy's clothes when she was first released. You can sometimes find them on ebay. However, they aren't really designed for beginning level sewing skills the way that Sam's patterns were. McCall's, I think, has old-fashioned patterns with full length skirts but you could make them shorter to be the right length for Addy. It's either McCall's or Simplicity -- check out your local pattern store. The clue is to look for the jacket that looks like Addy's suit jacket: sort of a bolero style with sleeves over a full-sleeved blouse. You might even hit a 99 cent pattern special!

I believe Joanns will have Simplicity patterns for 99 cents on Oct 9th. I have a list of patterns to pick up. I love their daisy kingdom line for girls because often it includes the girl's and the doll's sizes in the same patterns. That's quite a deal when they're 99 cents for both!

www.fancyfrocks.com has some wonderful patterns that are historically accurate. There are a few other places that I have bookmarked, but I am on a different computer right now so I can't find them. I have the AG pattern sets for all the girls and while they are great, all the patterns are for the same dresses you can still purchase from AG.
